Book Mock Inspections, Reg 44 Visits and Interim Leadership Support

Practical compliance support for children’s homes, supported accommodation, family assessment services, fostering providers, adult social care and wider regulated care services. CCKE Services helps providers prepare for inspection, evidence quality, strengthen governance and stabilise leadership when risk is increasing.

MOCK INSPECTIONS

Independent mock Ofsted and CQC inspections to identify gaps, test readiness and provide a clear improvement plan.

REGULATION 44 VISITS

Independent monthly Regulation 44 visits with evidence-based reports, safeguarding oversight and practical recommendations.

INTERIM LEADERSHIP SUPPORT

Experienced interim Registered Managers, Responsible Individuals and Nominated Individuals to stabilise services during vacancies or periods of increased risk.

GOVERNANCE & ACTION PLANS

Focused support with compliance notices, improvement plans, audits, evidence quality and preparation for upcoming inspections.

What a CCK mock inspection can cover

The review is adapted to your setting. For children’s services, we focus on the impact of care on children’s experiences and progress. For CQC-regulated services, we test governance, safety, evidence and quality against the current assessment approach.

Leadership and governance

We review how leaders know the service is safe, how actions are tracked, how incidents are learned from and whether oversight is visible in practice.

Safeguarding and risk

We examine safeguarding systems, risk assessments, incident reporting, escalation, notifications and whether staff understand how to respond to concerns.

Records and evidence

We sample care plans, placement plans, support plans, staff files, audits, supervision records, training matrices, complaints and quality assurance evidence.

Workforce competence

We test whether recruitment, induction, supervision, training and deployment arrangements show that staff are suitable, supported and competent.

Lived experience

Where appropriate, we consider whether children, young people, adults, families and representatives can evidence safe, person-centred and outcome-focused support.

Action planning

You receive a practical improvement plan that distinguishes immediate risk, short-term compliance actions and longer-term quality development work.

Regulation 44 independent visits

CCKE Services can provide independent visitors for monthly monitoring visits to children’s homes. The visit is not a tick-box audit. It should give the provider, Registered Manager and Responsible Individual a clear external view of safety, welfare, quality of care and progress.

Independent monthly visit by an experienced visitor.

Long Term Director Support

Crisis Development

Environment and daily-life observations, proportionate to the home and children’s needs.

Ofsted NODS

Report sent to the required persons in line with agreed statutory and provider arrangements.

Interim Managers, Responsible Individuals and Nominated Individuals

Leadership instability is one of the most common triggers for drift in regulated care services. CCKE Services can help providers maintain governance, oversight and momentum while longer-term leadership arrangements are secured.

Support can be arranged as an urgent intervention, scheduled monthly oversight, a defined improvement project or a retained governance package.

Short-term service stabilisation following manager absence, resignation or enforcement pressure.

Support for new providers preparing to open or preparing for first inspection.

Senior oversight for quality assurance, safeguarding, notifications and improvement tracking.

Support to Registered Managers, Responsible Individuals, Nominated Individuals and directors.

Preparation for Ofsted, CQC, commissioner monitoring visits and internal governance meetings.

Supervision, mentoring, audit activity and leadership development for the management team.
